Irini Metro Station Murals
Christine realised her dream of bringing Mexican street artists to Greece to collaborate with local artists in 2018. For this project, she worked with the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Mexican Embassy in Greece, the Athens School of Fine Arts, and STASY (the Greek Ministry of Transport). The Mexican artists who crossed the Atlantic to paint were Libre Gutierrez and Jaime Carbo. Both also worked on other projects while here: Libre on the Flor de Navios and Jaime on a YOYO Objects bench. Greece was represented by Simple G and Nikos Neskes. The project extended to include a tram, which the artists decided to cover with eyes, each in their own distinctive styles.
